Description of Royal Worcester Evesham Gold Porcelain 8-1/2-Inch Fluted Pitcher-Vase

The bud-shaped pitcher forms a slender spout that is stylistically balanced by the high curve of the handle. It pours beautifully. Like all Evesham pieces, the pitcher features a glossy white background decorated with peaches, pears, blackberries and other kinds of fruit. Russet-colored leaves pick up the gold band that edges the fluted rim. While the vessel is safe for the oven, which means syrup and sauces can be kept warm, and for the freezer, hand-washing with a mild detergent is recommended to protect the gold trim for generations to come. --Ann Bieri
